Joanna is a graduate of the Management & Marketing Faculty at the University of Gdańsk, postgraduate studies “Industrial Property Law” at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and “Civil & Administration Law” at the European University of Law and Administration in Warsaw. She is a qualified patent & trademark attorney and European patent & trademark attorney as well as a professional representative entitled to act before the EUIPO in the scope of trademarks and industrial designs. Her work experience, education and acquired business skills give her a broader perspective on the issues of protection of intellectual property not only in terms of obtaining and maintaining exclusive rights, or their protection against unfair actions, but also in terms of their role in the market and economy. As a director of Wrocław office and patent & trademark attorney with extensive professional experience, Joanna assists businesses and other entities in protecting intellectual property in a comprehensive manner.
Joanna specializes in trademark registrability searches as well as trademark and industrial design prosecution, under domestic, European Union (EUIPO) and international procedure (WIPO). She advises companies on building and managing their portfolio, deals with contentious matters, and prepares legal opinions on industrial property law and acts of unfair competition. Joanna has long-term experience in cooperating with businesses in the pharmaceutical sector. She successfully run training courses for entrepreneurs, scientists and students.
