Architect Piotr Kuczia is an expert in sustainable and energy-active architecture, operating in Poland and Germany. In 2008, he completed his doctoral thesis on solar architecture in Germany. He has lectured at universities in Poland, Germany and the United States. He is an initiator and curator of the ‘Design Educates Awards’ and has been a jury member in several international competitions.

His designs have been extensively published in more than 60 books and hundreds of professional journals on five continents and have been exhibited in many countries in Europe, China and Japan. He is the author of "Educating Buildings," published in Germany, and numerous publications on architecture.

He has won more than 50 international awards, including top prizes in the German Design Award, A'Design Award, Iconic Award, Architecture Masterprize, New York Design Awards, European Product Design Awards, Muse Design Awards, Green Good Design or International Architecture Awards.
