Jacek Ryń
Product Designer, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Jacek Ryń Studio
A graduate in design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (2010), in which he obtained his doctorate in 2019. He has been working at his home university since 2012. He completed an internship at Droog in Amsterdam (2007). In the years 2011–2014 he was a designer at Terma. From 2008, together with Paulina Ryń, he ran the Razy2 studio. Since 2020, the design office has been operating under the name Jacek Ryń Studio. Designs everyday objects, furniture, lighting, elements of public space, as well as rehabilitation devices. He is the author of many implemented products, including the PLC heater, which won the title of Good Design 2014 (Institute of Industrial Design) and must have 2015 at the Łódź Design Festival. He participated in works on the Pictor rehabilitation device, which was honored with the Polish Product of the Future distinction, awarded by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development in 2013. He was a member of the Program Board of Gdynia Design Days 2015 and 2016. Since 2016, he has been the president of Rokky, a company dealing in the production of intelligent electric heating systems.
