One of the challenges stemming from a decreasing amount of attractive land well connected with other areas of a city, the requirements of society, and current market conditions is an increasing intensity of development. In light of the above, designing a housing estate becomes a game where the prize is a good place to live. At the panel, we will introduce the Game of Estate – it is an urban card game that can be used as a teaching aid in workshops where the students create designs taking into account all involved parties. As it often happens, residents (hearts), designers (clubs), environmentalists (spades) and developers (diamonds) have conflicting interests, which is why it so essential to demonstrate how to navigate their differences. The aim of the debate is to discuss social awareness and innovative education in the field of shaping attractive housing estates.
