Danuta Kamińska, Deputy-Chair of the Management Board at Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolia. She supervises the actions undertaken by the Department of Strategy and Spatial Policy, and the Department of External Funds. Between 2001-2018 she was the Treasurer of the City of Katowice. Previously she had worked in e.g.  BUDIMEX - the Centre for Foreign Trade, but also had run her own business activity. Additionally, over the years, she had been involved in social activity for local governments, in particular, she had been a long-time member of the Team for Public Finance System under the Joint Commission of the National Government and Local Governments, she had chaired the Commission of Treasurers at the Union of Polish Metropolises. Danuta Kamińska has received the Gold Cross of Merit and the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta from the hands of the President of the Republic of Poland. She is a graduate of the University of Economics in Katowice and the Kozminski University in Warsaw, where she completed her postgraduate studies and received her MBA diploma.
