Arjan Dingste is a Partner and Senior Architect at UNStudio, where he has been a key contributor since 2001.

Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in shaping some of UNStudio’s most iconic projects, including the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Arnhem Central Station in The Netherlands, and the Doha Metro Network in Qatar.

In recent years, Arjan has been responsible for leading several groundbreaking sustainable projects. These include the transformation of the former Rabobank Headquarters in Eindhoven into a new government office building, the health and well-being-focused Urban Campus for Booking.com in Amsterdam, and the energy-positive Echo building at TU Delft, which was recognized as the world’s best campus building.

Currently, he is overseeing the construction of the One Helix Life Science building in Amsterdam, which boasts a remarkable beyond zero energy performance of -15 kWh/m² and a BREEAM Outstanding score of 93% while cutting embodied carbon in half related to a typical comparable building.

Arjan’s expertise lies in designing complex, sustainable and healthy buildings, combined with a passion for digital innovation. His integrated approach to design management spans all project phases, from concept to construction, ensuring the successful delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects.

In addition to his project leadership, Arjan heads UNStudio’s global Expertise Centers for Digital Innovation and Sustainability Innovation. This dual role allows him to drive forward-thinking solutions in both project design and internal knowledge development.
