Magdalena Lenartowicz
Magdalena Lenartowicz draws inspiration from the full spectrum of nature’s colors. Her works feature azure blues, soft pastels, sunny yellows, warm ochres, and sandy beiges—tones that evoke the elements of earth, water, and air. In addition to traditional painting techniques, such as thickly applied acrylics and shimmering gold leaf, the artist explores innovative solutions. She constantly seeks new ways to push the boundaries of her craft, experimenting with techniques that step beyond the conventional artistic alphabet.
Lenartowicz is particularly drawn to forgotten, seemingly mundane, and worn objects. On her canvases, keen observers may spot charred coffee beans, which evoke lively conversations in Warsaw’s cafes. The brown hues and coarse texture of coffee, paired with golden sand tones, inspired her new series “Energy of the Earth.” The calmness and warmth emanating from her abstract, gradient canvases invite the viewer into contemplation.
Her impressive portfolio includes numerous solo and group exhibitions, such as Scope 2024 at Miami Art Basel, Domotoka 2024, Bigscreenplaza in New York (2023), a group exhibition in Monaco (2023), a group exhibition in Paris (2023), Claritas GPW (2023), the solo exhibition "Ulotność" at Nowy Świat 29 in Warsaw (2022), and a solo show at the Palace of Culture and Science in 2021.
