EXHIBITION NUMBER: SW05
The Academy of Silesia exhibition at 4 Design Days
We invite you to participate in the remarkable exhibition of works by Academy of Silesia students majoring in Architecture, Interior Design, and Graphic Arts. It is an extraordinary opportunity to experience the inventive approach of young artists and designers, who set new directions in art and design.
The exhibition will include a wide array of works, including visionary projects of buildings, modern interior design, and unique graphical works. Each of the works combines creativity, functionality, and aesthetics, reflecting the modern approach to design. The students of the Academy of Silesia showcase how innovative thinking and advanced technology can shape the working and leisure space.
Projects of Interior Design are some of the most interesting parts of the exhibition, including, among others, concepts for escape rooms. The Academy of Silesia is the only university in Poland where such spaces are not only designed but also created in cooperation with outside stakeholders. Escape rooms developed by our students are spaces combining innovative solutions with a creative approach to the functionality and narrative of a space. This proves that young designers can think outside of the box, creating unique and engaging experiences.
In the area of Architecture, there will be modern building projects combining aesthetic properties and green solutions. The students explore themes of urbanism, sustainable construction, and new technology, showcasing a vision of the future.
Graphical works at the exhibition will showcase the wide range of possibilities within the area of Graphic Arts. Young artists create illustrations, corporate identities, and interactive projects showcasing versatile skills and an innovative approach to visual communication.
The exhibition is not only a means of showcasing the proficiency of the students but also a space for inspiration and exchanging of ideas among experts in the creative field. Each work is an aftermath of many hours of passion and dedication, deserving of the attention of professionals and design enthusiasts alike.
We underline not only the diversity and range of our artists and scientific researchers at the University of Silesia. We also present an international artistic research project titled “Man Adtift” [pol. Człowiek Zagubiony”]. The thought behind the project is showcasing the works of graphics and drawings interpreting the phenomenon of overstimulation in the modern world of new media. The exhibition features works by artists from Poland, the USA, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia. Some of the workshops held will also showcase traditional techniques, as well as modern artistic endeavours, to all participants. We hope that our projects prove art, associated with creativity, imagination, and aesthetic expression, as well as science, associated with empirical evidence, combine in an interdisciplinary tandem, nullifying abstract disparities. Together, they create a tangible relationship that, using different tools, methods, and means, explores the nature of the world.
The innovation utilized in modern art and science makes for easier accessibility and initiates new forms of cooperation with a real impact on the surrounding world in economy, society, therapy, education, art, and culture.
