Ana Bibilashvili

An architect, urban planner, researcher, and lecturer with over 17 years of professional experience. Founder of Anndesign Studio, an award-winning practice since 2012, her portfolio includes landmark projects like the Freedom Monument, Gamsakhurdia’s Museum and Tbilisi sport complex. In 2022, she established the Urban Development Institute, promoting participatory planning and providing architectural visions for Tbilisi’s brownfields.
Her doctoral research focuses on the socioeconomic and ecological role of urban green networks. In 2021, she ran for Mayor of Tbilisi with a vision for a "City for Humans," inspired by Jan Gehl’s principles. She actively engages in urban policy reforms, parliamentary discussions, and lectures on practice-based architectural design.
As Eastern European Regional Director of AIA Continental Europe, Ana fosters global collaboration among architects and advances architecture’s role in shaping the future.
